| Comment: Had 2 major TDY's from Castle AFB in the 1960's Flying the KC135 operating out of Thailand but refueling B-52 and lots of fighters as they struck up North. Got credit for two saves where we went in and latched the fighter who was leaking furel and towed him home. In 1972 got assigned to Scatback in Siagon and flew misiions in the T-39 ferrying priority stuff and people. Flew into Idndia, Nepal Cambodia plus. Even flew Kissinger and lots of stars. We flew for the CIA as well to some places that were not on the maps. Spent the last months of my year at NKP but still flew into Siagon. Gave the VC a tour of the bird on one flight. Have not seen any of the pilots or Flt Mechs on the NKP reunion sheet but would love to chat with any if they are around. I finished my career in NORAD in public Information. Now retired near Norfolk VA. Currently writing a book on my VN experience. If we have met please call me. | |
