Comment: I worked in the bomb dump with 456 MMS from October 1968-April 1970. I remember the crazy monsoon rains and red mud. All in all, felt a real sense of accomplishment from my tour there. Upon returning to CONUS, I spent the last 10 months of my enlistment at Nellis AFB, which was a 5 hour drive from my home in So Cal. |

Comment: I was at NKP from 9/1967-9/1968. I was a Security Police Augmentee from 10/67 to about 11/15/67. I help open Task Force Alpha around 11/15/67.I worked in Combat Operations at TFA. I was on the daily briefing team for Brigider .Genera Willy P. McBride during the last few months of my assignment.I came back to the states late September 1968 and was stationed at Luke AFB, Phoenix, AZ until I was honorably discharged 4/28/70. I am still working as an investment advisor and have been since 1970. I''ve had a good life and have been married for almost 48 years. |
