Comment: I served in the US Army 1966-1970.  In Nov. 1967 I was transferred from Europe to 5th SFG(A) in Nha Trang, where I was assigned to Command & Control North, MACV-SOG. In Dec. 67 I was assigned TDY as a teletype operator at SOG's facility (Heavy Hook) at NKP; I left NKP in Nov 68.  I then returned to CCN in Da Nang assigned as a radio operator on a recon team. I left Vietnam in June '69 and was discharged in June 1970.

Comment: I served from May 24 1969 to May 24 1970 with the 602nd SOS.  I was a crew chief on the commanders bird A1j 053.  I went on several recovery missions to somewhere in Vietnam.  I went to college under the GI bill and sat in class with all those long hairs and tried like hell to fit in.....got my degree and worked for the FAA as a electronics tech/engineer for 35 years.  Only after I retired in 2004 did I try to reconnect with my NKP/Vietnam buddies.  In 2014 Ken Burns did a 4 minute video on me about the Vietnam war.  It was used locally to promote his documentary.  For  For 45 years I never talked to anyone about what I did or even if I was in the military.  I reconnected with 5 of my buddies from NKP while in Vegas a few years  back.
