Comment:  I was sent to NKP from Phan Rang, Vietnam (base closeout) from July 1971 to May 1972. I was a reciprocating engine mechanic working primarily on A1s and C-119s on the flight line. Also, worked on C-47s, C-123s, C-47s, O-1s, C-7s, and anything else that had engine problems flying into NKP.

Comment: 56 FMS AGE Shop, 1973-74. Couldn't keep a job in the USAF. Career took me from maintenance to financial management to missile operations and then back to finance. Finished up as a squadron commander at Fairchild and retired in 1994. Civilian career in government financial management and financial services in the private sector. Retired for good in 2020.
